Terms of use
What the service does, what it does not do, and what each party undertakes to respect.

The most important point on this page.
Budgiva is a calculation tool, not financial advice. It projects your own figures over time, without interpreting them and without recommending anything to you. The results are arithmetical estimates, never guaranteed forecasts.
1. Purpose
Budgiva is a web application that projects how a personal capital will change over time, based on figures entered by its user: income, expenses, one-off events. It also lets you track the gap between planned and actual, set a savings goal and compare assumptions.
An AI agent lets you describe your situation in a few sentences rather than fill in forms, correct or delete an existing line, and have your own figures read back to you. It relies on a language model operated by a third-party provider. Whether adding, correcting or deleting, its role stops at suggesting: nothing is saved, changed or deleted without your confirmation. For reading, it has access only to amounts calculated by the application, never to the labels you have entered. What is sent to it is described in point 5 of the privacy policy.
The service is published by a private individual, on a non-professional and non-profit basis. In accordance with Article 6 III 2 of the French law on confidence in the digital economy (loi pour la confiance dans l’économie numérique), the publisher’s contact details are held by the hosting provider. Contact: contact@budgiva.com.
Hosting is provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States) and Supabase Pte. Ltd. (65 Chulia Street, #38-02/03, OCBC Centre, Singapore 049513). Data is stored in the European Union: see the privacy policy.
2. What the service is not
- It is not investment advice, nor financial, tax, legal or wealth management advice. The publisher is not a licensed financial adviser.
- It is not a banking service nor a payment service. Budgiva holds no funds and carries out no transactions.
- It is not a forecast. A calculation assumes that your income and expenses remain as you declared them. Reality almost always differs — which is in fact why the tracking screen exists.
- The AI agent is not an adviser. It turns your sentences into budget lines and describes your own figures, nothing more. It recommends no investment, no credit and no trade-off, and never tells you what you should do with your money. It can make mistakes: that is why it has you review and confirm every line before anything is saved, and why every amount it states is calculated by the application and then checked before being shown to you.
Any decision taken on the basis of the figures displayed is your sole responsibility. For any decision that commits you, consult a qualified professional.
3. Your account
- Creating an account requires a valid e-mail address and a password.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the actions carried out from your account.
- An account is personal. The service is not intended for people under 15.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
4. Acceptable use
You undertake not to:
- attempt to access another user’s data, or to get around the isolation between accounts;
- disrupt the service, overload it, or automate its use on a large scale;
- use the service for unlawful purposes.
In the event of a breach, access to the service may be suspended or terminated, with prior notice where possible.
5. Availability
The service is provided ‘as is’, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance or updates, or because of a hosting provider.
Your data belongs to you: keep a copy of what matters to you. If the service were permanently discontinued, you would be notified with reasonable notice to retrieve your information.
6. Liability
The calculation is arithmetical and checked by automated tests, but the publisher cannot be held liable:
- for a decision taken on the basis of the figures displayed;
- for a gap between a projection and reality;
- for an input error on your part;
- for unavailability attributable to a third-party provider.
None of these limitations excludes any liability that French law does not allow to be excluded.
7. Intellectual property
The service, its code, its interface and its content are the property of the publisher. The data you enter remains entirely yours: hosting it transfers no rights to the publisher, who makes no use of it other than running the service for you.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be amended. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page, and any substantial change will be announced before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers.
As the service is free and published on a non-professional basis, it does not fall within the consumer mediation scheme, which applies to disputes between a consumer and a professional. A mediator will be appointed on the day a paid offer is introduced.
A free service to date.
Budgiva currently offers no paid plan. No payment is requested and no bank details are collected.
When a paid plan is introduced, these terms will be supplemented with the information required for distance selling to consumers: price and VAT, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal, pre-contractual information, and cancellation terms as simple as those for subscribing.
